Account books of the Coles family, 1832-1842.

The books contain information about local history, businesses and families in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Va. Each volume has an index in the front and carries accounts for various sundries, including quantities of plaster, wheat, and flour. The account book, 1834-1842, of Tucker Coles also contains accounts of flour sent to Scottsville and general accounts of wheat. Also present are receipts of Tucker Coles. The accounts were recorded in blank books bound and sold by Charlottesville bookbinder E. Watts and contain his book plates for the Charlottesville Blank-Book Manufactory.
